Kay D'Andrea, 96, passed away Oct. 8, 2018, after a long struggle following a fall in June. She was born December 14, 1921, in Weiser, Idaho, to Robert and Mae Sparks. Her family later moved to Wanette, Oklahoma, where her father owned a general store. She graduated from high school and earned a scholarship to attend business school in downtown Oklahoma City. Around 1949, she went to work for Monnet, Hayes and Bullis, now Monnet, Hayes, Bullis, Thompson and Edwards, where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of Executive Secretaries and served as both secretary and president during her membership. She married Bob D'Andrea in 1955. Following his death in 1999, she became a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and served for 18 years. She is survived by stepson, Bob Soper and his wife Ann; granddaughters, Christi Hilt and husband Jason and Traci Scofield and husband David; great granddaughters, Allyn Hilt and Allisha Scofield; great grandson, Cole Scofield; great, great granddaughter, Aubry Scofield; and nieces and nephews, Gay Waters, Bert Olson, Bob Olson and Liza Everett and their families; and sister-in-law, Madilyn Olson and her husband Laurence. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, whom she thought of as a daughter, Sherry Allen, and very dear friends, Pugh & Pat Murphy. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
