Keith D. Johnson

Keith Dyer Johnson was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Joe and Jo Johnson on August 6, 1956. He passed away June 3, 2015 in Oklahoma City. Keith grew up in Pauls Valley and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. From 1975-1980 Keith was the football manager at OU. He was very proud to have been part of their 1975 championship season. Keith's passion was automobiles. It began as a teenager when he worked for his father Joe Johnson at Joe Johnson Chevrolet in Pauls Valley. After graduating, his career continued in the automobile industry and eventually he became the owner of Dealers Marketing Assurance. Throughout his career he received several achievement awards. One of his favorite pastimes was restoring his 1968 Camaro. Keith's greatest joy was spending time with family. He loved coaching his sons' sports teams, boating, and traveling. He was also an avid snow and water skier. Keith is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet Willsey Johnson, their two sons, Matthew and Andrew, his mother and step-father, Edmund and Jo Johnson Darling; brother, David Johnson; sister, Kelly Johnson Gish and numerous other relatives that will miss him dearly. In memory, donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Heart Disease, 825 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. A Celebration of Life will be held at Crossings Community Church Chapel on Tuesday, June 9 at 2:30 pm.
