KEITH JACK WHITMARSH went to his Heavenly Father Dec. 2nd 2009. Keith was born Jan. 5, 1937, in McAlester, OK. He attended Bishop John Carroll Elem. and St. Gregory's H.S. Keith served in the U.S. Army 3 years in Verona, Italy, and 3 years in the 45th National Guard. Keith married the love of his life, Jean Ellen Gillespie, and they resided in OKC. Keith was a Postal Letter Carrier for 30 years and was active in Boy Scouts of America. He was in the first Confirmation Class of Christ the King Catholic Church in Nichols Hills, and served there as Parish Council Member, Eucharistic Minister, and in many other ministries. He attended Mass daily. The role Keith enjoyed most was as World's Greatest Papa to his grandchildren, Tara (Ryan), Troy, David, Stuart, James, Laurel, Sarah, Philip, Caroline, Blake, Samuel, Andrew, and Catherine; and great-grandchildren, Clayton and Carleigh of OK. Keith was preceded in death by grandparents Judge I.P. and Jasmine Keith, mother, Elouise Keith Whitmarsh, adopted father, Jack Whitmarsh, and sisters, Jean Kummers and Sue Trent. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean Gillespie Whitmarsh of Oklahoma City; children, Kathy Scott Lundy (Mark) of Gladstone, MO, Kevin Scott (Shelly) of Parsons, KS, Mary Dickens, Jeff (Mary), Dan (Sarah), and Steve (Stacy) Whitmarsh; and brother Chuck Whitmarsh (Janie) all of Oklahoma City; brother- in-law Dan Gillespie (Carol) of Castaic, CA; and many nieces and nephews. The family thanks the doctors and staff of Optim Oncology, Artesian Cancer Ctr, and Centennial Hospice for their care and support.
