Dr. Kenneth Ellis Miller, 76 of Oklahoma City passed away Thursday, November 21st, 2013. Kenny was born in Temple, Oklahoma to parents Gara Kenneth and Florene Miller. He graduated from Midwest City High School and The University of Oklahoma. He received his DDS from the University of Missouri/Kansas City School of Dentistry with continuing education studies at New York University. Kenny was in private dental practice in Oklahoma City for 48 years. During this time he was a member of the Oklahoma Dental Association, American Dental Association and The Academy of General Dentistry. He worked with Volunteers and Missions Mexico and Honduras Medical Group Mission. He also was a volunteer Dentist for City Rescue Mission and Skyline Urban Ministries. He is survived by his wife Nan Loomis Miller; Sister Doris Payne and husband Dr. Ralph Payne; Children Matt Miller, Kristi Miller Rutledge and husband Terry; step-children Tracy Butts and George "Chip" Bruce. Poppy loved and was loved by his grandchildren Brandy, Brooke, Tanner, Hannah, and Kaylee Rutledge, Brett and Michelle Bruce, Nathan and Nicholas Butts, and Brittany Smith; four great-grandchildren Ryleigh and Cade Telford, Summer Rutledge and Bentley Smith. Kenny's deep faith in The Lord was evident to all who knew him. He was greatly loved and respected by his family, friends, staff and patients. Kenny will always be remembered for his passionate support of the Oklahoma Sooners. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Servant.
