Kenneth Griffin

Kenneth L. "Ken" Griffin, age…if you asked, Ken's reply would be none of your dang business, however, acquaintances who've known him will be impressed to learn he lived 79 years. Ken began his adventure among us mere mortals in a small town no one has ever heard of, Battiest, Oklahoma, born to Lester and Mildred Griffin. Ken was owner and operator of Ken's Boat Sales for enough years to tarnish the walls with a three-inch layer of tar and meet and make life-long friends with half the population of the greater Oklahoma City metro area and beyond. As a man of great wisdom, he raised his family in the Deer Creek Public School system before it was the popular thing to do and lived in Edmond long before the traffic became a hassle. He was a sports fanatic who reveled in the technological advances that created ESPN, but before that a loyal Braves Baseball fan because it was available on TBS stations everywhere. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Trula Cheek and Juanita Tucker. Left to clean up his things and miss his ornery whit and huge heart include: the mother of his sons, Janet; sons, Kevin Griffin and his wife Amanda and Kelly Griffin; three grandchildren who lovingly referred to Ken as "Puffer", Caleb Griffin, Avery Griffin and Max Griffin; as well as a huge assortment of friends, in-laws, out-laws and others who will remember him fondly. Services to celebrate Ken will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Church of the Servant. For those wishing to honor Ken's memory, donations may be made to……………. Or maybe sit back, relax and enjoy the view of the lake from the boat Ken helped you purchase.
