My best friend and the man who filled those empty places in a widows heart, passed from this life, into his new life. Ken was 81 years old, the child of Ava and Kenneth Koerner, Sr. He was born in Hinton, OK. He moved at 4 years of age to OKC and attended Jefferson grade school, Taft, and great old Classen High School 1952. He attended OSU in 1957 – BS and MS Degree in Engineering, and became Top in aircraft in 1961. Becoming Aero Space Engineer for Douglas Air Craft, worked on various space vehicles and commercial Air Craft. In 1987 he became Lead Stress Engineer an award by President Ronald Regan. Also, DC-MD Wing Group, he had employees and men in training under him. Ken never married, but took care of his widow mother for many years; they lived in Long Beach, CA. After her death he returned to OKC and retired at an early age. Everyone loved Ken. He was always kind, and had a sweet spirit. Ken met and started a 15 year relationship with companion and neighbor Janice Moore of Monticello Addition. He will be missed by his cousin the Milligan's and Bob Jennings, and close friends from Monticello and Moore and the Ainsworth family he has been close to for a very long time, and they loved him as their own. Ken got to see the world and had wonderful times spent traveling with his girl. They met late in life and did not waste the time given to them. A cure was not to be found, Jesus held out his arms and said, "Come to me, your work here is done." Now He holds you in His arms. Sleep, Peace and wake eternal. I will take care of you. Written by Jan, sleep on my prince.
