Ken Roberts, age 61 of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Sunday, September 16th unexpectedly of cancer. It was a peaceful passing surrounded by family. Ken was born on November 7th, 1956 in Ardmore, OK to Bill and Jerry Roberts. He was a true family man. Ken raised four exceptional sons who are a testament to his love and guidance. Ken was also a devoted husband to wife Patty Roberts. They both found a second chance at love with each other. Aside from his huge heart, Ken was also a jokester. There is not a single person that he encountered throughout his life that he did not solicit a laugh from. If you found yourself subject to his joking ways, it meant only that you were in his favor. Humor was often Ken's way of communicating, even up until his death. His big, goofy grin will live in our minds for a long time. Ken was a good Christian man who was active in his Church. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight from 2017-2018. He lived a life of service, always helping others without expecting anything in return. He was passionate about sports and spent much of his time coaching, where he impacted many young lives. His favorite past time was golf…we can only imagine that he is perfecting his swing right now! Ken is survived by his wife Patty Roberts; children Joey Roberts (Jackie), Chris Roberts (Elizabeth), Bradley Roberts, Gregory Roberts; step children Eric Shepard (Jessica), Alyson Saner (Delten); grandchildren Logan, Elliot, Lincoln; and his two siblings Billy Roberts (Jill) and Sherry Roberts with nephew Chad Albee. A wake will be held at 6pm Wednesday, September 19th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The funeral mass is at 10am Thursday, September 20th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rosary School Tuition Assistance Fund. Rest in peace husband, father, brother, and friend. We will be reunited one day in the presence of our God and Savior. Until then we will continue to live our lives by your example.
