Kevin L. Barnett, age 54, lifelong resident of Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly December 2, 2016. He was born March 15, 1962 to Daniel and Marilyn Kay (Mee) Barnett. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School and went on to attend college for business management. Kevin had a 26 year career with Albertsons Grocery Stores and most recently worked as a District Manager for OnCue Convenience Stores where he has worked for the past seven years. Kevin will be remembered for his kindness and selflessness, always placing others happiness before himself and for his tireless, commendable work ethic. He was an avid OU Sooner Fan, enjoyed many other sports and loved a good comedy. His family was his most treasured asset and he savored each moment spent with them. His favorite place to be in the world was the family cabin in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn just two short months ago. He is survived by his father, Daniel "Danny" Barnet; his treasured children, daughter, Amy Barnett Potts and her husband Jeff; son, Casey Barnett and his wife, Kalyn. Kevin was a proud and dedicated Grandpa to his two cherished granddaughters, Ruby and Rose Barnett. He is also survived by his sister, Kelly Duncan and her husband Scott; three brothers, Daniel Barnett, Mark Barnett and James Barnett as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including close friend and caregiver, Sadia Cheema. Those wishing to honor Kevin may do so by contributing to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or by extending kindness whenever and wherever you can to help brighten another's day. Visitation will be at Smith & Kernke on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with services to celebrate him 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Crossings Community Church.
