Kimberlene Kay Bradshaw-Franklin

Kim was born March 5, 1957 and moved to her Savior March 14, 2016. She died in her sleep resting in the bedroom and bed she grew up in. Kim completed high school at Northwest Classen and now lives in Carbondale, CO. She was here in OKC to assist her mother with knee surgery. She and her best friend Nancy Brodman reunited and spent some quality time together. Kim spent 17 years working at Basalt Elementary which were the best years of her life. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Lorena Headrick and grandparents Nola and Bob Bradshaw. These people recognized early on the gentleness and caring heart of Kim and worshiped her for these traits. She is survived by her husband, of 38 years, Duane Franklin and her treasured son Travis Franklin of Carbondale, CO. Travis is the pride of Kim's life. Others remaining are her mother, Emily Bradshaw, OKC; father Harley Bradshaw, OKC; her constant companion Scooter her little dog; her mother-in-law Helen Aubrey as well as many relatives here in the OKC area and more in the Los Angeles, CA area. Kim also leaves behind many close, loving friends here in OKC and many more in Carbondale, CO. where they are planning a Memorial Service for Kim. She will be greatly missed but will always be loved and in our hearts forever. Memorial Service will be held on 2:00pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
