In Loving Memory of Kolt Benjamin Webster
**June 24, 2024 - September 30, 2024**
With heavy hearts, we share the story of Kolt Benjamin Webster, born on June 24, 2024, at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City to Charles and Tiffany Webster. From the moment of his birth, Kolt faced significant challenges, having been diagnosed prenatally with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and postnatally with a Choledochal cyst. Despite these daunting diagnoses, Kolt entered this world as a fighter, ready to show everyone the strength that lay within him.
At just three days old, Kolt underwent open-heart surgery, which initially presented its own set of challenges. Following the surgery, he was placed on an in-room bypass machine, and the doctors were uncertain about his recovery. However, to everyone’s astonishment, Kolt demonstrated incredible resilience, overcoming this obstacle in just five days. With each passing moment, he grew stronger, instilling hope in his family that he would continue to fight and thrive.
Yet, the journey was far from over. As the cyst on his liver grew, Kolt required urgent surgical intervention. His family was med flighted to Texas Children’s Hospital, filled with hope for the care he needed. Tragically, Kolt was denied the surgery they had been promised. In the face of this setback, his family worked tirelessly to seek better care for their precious son, but fate had other plans.
On September 30, 2024, at 10:04 PM, Kolt took his final breath, surrounded by love and support. His transition to heaven was marked by the beautiful melodies of "Amazing Grace" and "Blessed Assurance," reminding those who loved him that his spirit would forever shine brightly.
Kolt is survived by his devoted parents, Charles and Tiffany, and his four siblings: Kaidence, Keagan, Karson, and Kaylin. He is also cherished by his grandmother Lupe, cousin Jono, uncle Chris, aunt Ciara, and many other relatives who adored him. He was welcomed into heaven by his grandfather Michael, grandmother Myrna, and uncle Jeremy.
Though Kolt’s time on earth was brief—just three short months—his impact on those around him was profound. He taught his family, friends, and medical staff the true meaning of strength and resilience. While his body may now be at rest, the spirit and fighting heart of Kolt Benjamin Webster will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
In honor of Kolt’s memory, let us celebrate the love he brought into the world and carry forward his spirit of hope and determination. Rest in peace, sweet Kolt. You are forever loved and missed. #LiveKoltsWay
