Kreszentia "Christine" (Maier) Gaston, loving and devoted spouse, mother, and grandmother left this world peacefully on Friday, April 20th, 2018. She was born on December 22nd, 1927, to Jakob and Rosalia Maier, Ergoldsbach, Germany. She was one of three children, having two brothers Jacob and George. She and Richard Gaston were married in 1956, eventually making their home in Spokane, Washington.
Christine was dedicated to her family, ensuring that her loved ones had everything that they needed. She served for numerous years as a volunteer at her son's school, St. Aloysius. She also served countless hours at her local Knights of Columbus club in Spokane, Washington. When she wasn't serving others, she enjoyed working in her garden and on puzzles. Christine and Richard relocated to Edmond, OK in 2009. This coincided with the birth of their youngest grandson, Jacob. Jacob immediately had a special place in her heart. She delighted in taking care of Jacob during the day when Katie needed to return to teaching, doting on him until he began school.
Christine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, her parents, and both brothers. She is survived by son Bryon Gaston and spouse, grandson Nathan Gaston of Oklahoma City, OK, and by grandchildren Alexandra Jury, Joshua Jury, and Jacob Gaston (and their mother, Katie Gaston) of Edmond, OK, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
