Labeth Thelma Myers

LaBeth Myers passed away in her home in Oklahoma City surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 20, 2015 after a prolonged illness. LaBeth was born on September 9, 1938, in Walters, Oklahoma to Jack Merriott and Dorothy (Merriott) Dennis. She spent a large part of her childhood under the care of her great uncle and aunt, Charles and Louise Ferguson. She graduated from Putnam City High School, and majored in Music at Oklahoma Baptist University. LaBeth married Gary Myers on July 13, 1956, and was a faithful, lifelong, loving companion to him. She had three children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. LaBeth spent extensive hours researching and documenting her family genealogy. She loved music, enjoyed gourmet cooking and was an avid collector of various treasures. She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Edmond, and a former member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. LaBeth was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Katrina Dennis. She is survived by her husband Gary Myers; her daughters Kathy and Brenda Myers; her son, David Myers (Judy); siblings Sammy Dennis, Penny Burns, Mike Dennis, Steve Dennis, Patricia Joiner, and Debbie Medrano; 4 grandchildren Austin, Garhett, Chelsea and Jessica Myers; and great-granddaughters Presley and Abigail Myers. Memorial Service will be held at Faith Bible Church, 600 N. Coltrane, Edmond, OK at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015. Viewing will be available Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Smith and Kernke. Memorials can be sent to Faith Bible Church.
