Larry Luke Taylor

Larry Taylor passed away surrounded by his family on October 25, 2021. He was born in Wichita, Kansas October 4, 1941 to Donna (Burlingame) and Luke Taylor. Larry graduated from Wichita State with a Masters in Geology. He met Barbara Bay in College and they married Dec 26th, 1965. Their family moved to Oklahoma City in 1973 where Larry started his own energy company and worked as a geologist for over 50 years.Larry was a lover of all things sporting and outdoors, "lake life", and most of all his family friends (and maybe a nice glass of single malt scotch). Larry was a believer in Christ and affirmed his salvation shortly before inheriting His Kingdom. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his former wife, life partner and soul mate, Barbara Bay Taylor; three sons, Chris Taylor of Edmond, OK, Craig Taylor and wife Shelly of Oklahoma City, OK, and Todd Taylor and wife Ashley of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Gabe Taylor, Preston, Dave Drue and Caden Taylor, and Sydney and Luke Taylor. Larry is also survived by one brother, Charles Taylor of and wife Diane of Wichita, KS.Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel with burial Friday in the Garden of Freedom at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Wichita, KS.
