Leon Wesley Sanderson

Leon was Born in Muleshoe, Texas to Leatha E and Wesley T Sanderson and grew up in Grady, New Mexico where he graduated high school. During the late 1970’s, his family moved to Maple Grove, Missouri where Leon left to attend Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma.

After attending college, Leon remained in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he went on to sell pianos and organs. Leon also taught piano lessons and would play for local churches. Along with his love for music, Leon enjoyed baking. Leon would, on request, bake and customize cakes for family, friends, and clients. Leon loved family history and was notorious for reminding family and friends of historical dates and sharing stories.  

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Sanderson, and his mother Leatha Sanderson.   Leon is survived by his brother Larry and sister-in-law Lisa Sanderson, his other brother Leslie and sister-in- law, Debbie Sanderson, three nephews, their wives, and their families. Extended family in Grady, New Mexico and Rogers, Arkansas.
