Leona Ann Chicoraske

Leona passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Choctaw, OK to Leo and Marie Chicoraske. She graduated from Choctaw High School where she had been a star basketball player, and later completed her education at Draughon's Business College. Leona retired from Western Electric/Lucient and just recently on January 1st, 2020 from St. Anthony Hospital. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and The Armed Forces and Communication Organization. Leona treasured her time spent with family and doted on her nephew, niece and great nephew. She will be remembered for her loving spirit and her uplifting fun manor. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rose Marie Chicoraske. Leona is survived by two brothers, Leon and Joe Chicoraske; nephew, Tim Chicoraske and his wife Christina; niece, Joy Chicoraske; great-nephew, Aaron K. Edwards, Jr. and his father, Aaron Sr.; as well as her loving friend, Carrol Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Leona will be laid to rest next to her sister at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
