Leona Irene (Rose) Gonzales 76 passed away on May 24, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on April 9, 1937 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to C.A. and Pearlie Rose. Leona ran her own businesses most of her life from managing her own bars to her own cleaning business. In 2003 she went to Metro Tech and received her CNA license, to continue doing what she loved the most, which was taking care of others.
Leona married Edmundo Gonzales June 27, 1988 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They were happily married for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.
Leona is survived by her husband Edmundo Gonzales, four daughters Kathey and husband Henry Davis Jr of Moore, OK, Karolyn and husband Carlos Martinez of Oklahoma City, OK, Oresa and Antonio Martinez of Oklahoma City, OK, and Wanda Huckaby and husband Jose Jacquez of Oklahoma City, OK, two sons Jimmie Brewer and Alejandro Gonzales of Oklahoma City, OK, fifteen grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Michelle Johnson, Melissa and husband Jorge Moreno, Kelley Davis, Amy and husband Javier DeLoera, Marrisa and husband Robert Schnitz, Leticia Martinez, Roberto Huckaby- Alba, Antonio Martinez Jr, Juan Huckaby-Alba, Anastasia Martinez, Zakoya Martinez, Emilio Huckaby-Jacquez, Kierra Martinez, Kadance Martinez, fourteen great grandchildren, Angelina Johnson-Martinez, Juli'Ana Johnson Olivares, Jorge Moreno Jr, Ezibella Johnson-Martinez, Michael Johnson Olivares, Magdalyna Johnson, Olivia Wolf, Jesse Thompson "J.T." Hall, Juan Johnson Olivares, Ana Moreno, Adan DeLoera, Aaliyah Marrotte, Ryan Schnitz, Kyler Hall, Liliana DeLoera, two sisters Geneva and husband Earl "Leon" Wilson and Edna Owens, four brothers Harvey Rose and wife Shirley , Virgel Rose and wife Betty, Jimmie Rose, and Jerry Rose, brother-in-law Arthur "Buddy" Davis with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives that she loved dearly.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents C.A Rose, Pearlie Rose, three brothers Troy Rose, Arley Rose, and Edward "Ed" Rose, brother-in-laws Carl Owens and Mark Booth three sisters Oma Booth, Clovia Collins, and Betty Davis, and granddaughter Dawn Huckaby-Martinez.
