Lester Jay Huston was born May 1, 1921 in Rosalie, Kansas, the son of Jesse Lester Huston and Ina Van Huss Huston. Jay served during World War II as an Avionics Aircraft Instrumentation Instructor to navy personnel flying during battle. After being discharged, he came to Oklahoma where he and his wife, Wilma, founded Huston Lab Inc., which is still operating today. Jay was a member of the Oklahoma City Boat Club where he served as commodore and active board member. He cared deeply about improving the boat club to be able to host many regattas and sailboat races. He was also a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Jay is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughters, Linda D. DePue and husband Mike, and Dr. Marcia J. Huston; a brother, Bob Huston, three grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Page and husband Bryce, Terri Jo Tisdal and husband Mike and Alexander Kmiec; five great grandchildren, Seth Page and wife Catherine, Dawson Page, Ellen Page, Jacob Tisdal, and Hannah Tisdal, and many nieces and nephews. Jay was husband to Wilma, dad to the daughters, grandpa to the grandchildren and granddaddy to the great grandchildren. He loved them all and the most important thing to him was their happiness and well being.
