Lillian Chernicky

Lillian Chernicky passed November 27, at the age of 92. The youngest daughter of Frank and Edith Shedeck was born in Yukon, Oklahoma, June 29, 1922. She graduated from Draughon's Business College in Oklahoma City. Lillian met her future husband, Thomas Chernicky, at Czech Hall in Yukon. They were married on May 6th, 1944, and began their new life and family in Oklahoma City. The couple joined St. Francis of Assisi parish where their 10 children attended Rosary Catholic School. Lillian was a creative and gifted artist, loving wife and mother. She is survived by her 10 children: Steven, his wife Margaret, Wayne, his wife Dee, Donald, his wife Camillia, David, Thomas, his wife Dawn, Michael, his wife Debbie, Susan, her husband Rich, Gerald, Jo, her husband Phil, Janette and many grand and great grandchildren who adored their Grandma Lily. There will be a visitation at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors, 1401 NW 23rd Street on Monday, December 1st from 4 to 7PM. Services will be 11AM., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel with burial to follow next to her husband Thomas. Mrs. Chernicky requested donations to Rosary School in lieu of flowers.
