Linda Christine "Chris" Barnhart LeBoeuf left us for heaven's embrace on Tuesday July 18th 2023, after a two-year battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her three children, Patrick LeBoeuf, Sissy LeBoeuf, and Lindsay Daniel, as she peacefully drew her last breath. Chris was born on November 24th, 1951, to Lyall and Francis (Sledd) Barnhart in Oklahoma City. She grew up with her two older sisters, Susan Wade and Terry Sinclair, and her younger brother Bill Barnhart. Chris always had a love for art and animals. She was a self-taught artist which seemed to run in the family from Lyall, and Lyall's mother. From the time she was little animals seemed to be drawn to her. Her heart was for the animals that were considered thrown away by the world. She would regularly bring home stray dogs and cats, and would be greeted by her family's reaction as "not another one" But her love for horses gave her so much joy and satisfaction. She was an accomplished dressage rider, and loved to ride whenever she got a chance. The barn was a special retreat for her from the storms of life. Chris was affectionately called "Nanna" by her seven grandchildren. She loved being a part of her grandchildren's lives and spent much of her time helping to take care of the youngest ones, Harry and Hudson. Chris was a believer in Christ and her faith spilled over into the ones she loved and cared about. Her life reflected compassion for the downtrodden people and animals that came across her path. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. Chris's dad bought her a horse when she was a child, and she named him Poco. She would often talk fondly of how much she loved him. We believe she is enjoying Poco once again in place where there is no sickness and death, but only love and acceptance. Chris is survived by her children, Patrick LeBoeuf (Courtney); Sissy LeBoeuf; and Lindsay Daniel (Zachary) and grandchildren, Luke, Emory, and Reece Daniel, Owen and Georgia LeBoeuf, Harry and Hudson Dover. She is preceded in death, by her parents and her loving son-in-law, Maurice Dover. We want to thank all of the family and friends that prayed for her. We also want to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at Mercy Hospital. Their prayers and professional care made a difficult situation much more bearable. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
