Linda Lou Walta Patzkowsky Morgan was born June 11, 1942 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Lenard and Ruth Anne (Ketch) Walta. She passed away June 19, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a brief illness.Linda grew up in Kingfisher, graduated from Kingfisher High School and then attended OSU. After moving to Oklahoma City she worked in an architect's office, with a stockbroker and in retail sales. Linda lived large, whether visiting her grandparents farm as a child, as a young career woman in Oklahoma City, or as beloved Aunt Linda and beloved "Mimi" in her later years.Linda had a bubbly personality and keen sense of humor. She loved to tell funny stories, often involving her misadventures. She loved to entertain and her friends felt free to drop in any time. Every hour was happy hour at Linda's and she was usually the center of a laughing crowd. Linda had a large group of loyal longtime friends and was one herself. Some of her favorite times were with the long-standing "girls' birthday club" which she often hosted.In 1997 she married Terry Morgan, the love of her life. They had wonderful times together, enjoying their home with the beautiful view of Brown's Lake. Together they enjoyed gardening, entertaining and traveling to see friends and family. When Terry's illness got severe, she was a loving caregiver just as she had been for her beloved mother Ruth Anne.Linda was predeceased by her husband Terry L. Morgan, father Lenard Walta, mother and stepfather Ruth Anne and A.L. Thurmond, brother Bill Walta, sister Leslie Thurmond, niece Stacy McWilliams, nephew Michael Farha and best friend Jayne Johnston.She is survived by son Jeff & Laura Morgan, their daughters Haley Morgan and Lauren Franssen; son Sean Morgan, his children Ashley and Christian & JulieAnne Morgan; brother Pete & Susie Thurmond, their children Katie & Nick Archer, Alli & Scott Quinlan and Patrick & Caroline Thurmond; sister Ann & Jerry Tate, their children Brad & Elaine Tate, Mandy & Todd Spitzer; brother in law Michael & Linda Morgan, their children Daniel and Holly; and brother in law Murray & Krista Morgan, their sons Kenneth, Eric, and Shane; niece, Amy Farha and fourteen great-nieces and nephews and a legion of devoted friends.The family would like to thank David & Ann Dagg, Sonia Armendariz, LuAnn and Craig Margo and her many friends for all they have done for Linda, especially in the last few months.
