Loran Clifton "Bo" Bodine, Sr., 73, passed away December 29, 2014, at his home in Norman. He was born July 25, 1941, in Oklahoma City, the third son of Frank E. and Dora Houser Bodine. He attended Capitol Hill High School until 1959 when he joined the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany and honorably discharged. Bo was a highly-skilled carpenter who could, by the use of his hands, transform a simple piece of wood into whatever he envisioned in his mind. Bo also owned a motorcycle shop and an RV and mobile-home remodeling business. Bo met the love his life, Elizabeth Ann "Liz" White, while pursuing another of his interests, square dancing. Bo and Liz were married from 1980 through 2008, when she preceded him in death. Bo was also preceded in death by his parents, his brother Monte and wife Joan, his brother Perry, and by his son, Loran Clifton "Scooter" Bodine Jr. He is survived by his sister Nelva Chapline and husband David and by his brother Lelyn. He is also survived by his children Sheri Finger and husband Amos, Veronica Warr and husband Kory, Jana Thompson and husband Audie, Michael McConnell and wife Lisa, and Paula Goodson. In his later years, Bo greatly loved being pa-paw to his grandchildren Camiel, Kyleigh, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Isaac, Luke, Kyle, Aaron, Garrett, Brianna, and Cord. He also has many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Services will be 1p.m. Monday, January 5, in the Chapel of the Smith-Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Avenue. www.smithandkernke.com
