Lorena (Walton) Padgett-Hollingsworth was born July 13, 1914 in Mesquite, Texas to Jack and Pearl Walton. She passed away on March 12, 2011. Jack was one of the first Ford dealers in Oklahoma having a dealership in Hammon, Ok where Lorena graduated high school in 1932. She attended the University of Oklahoma graduating with a degree in Education and later a Masters degree in Education. She married Raymond O. Padgett August 28, 1938. They both began a teaching career in Elk City. Mr. Padgett later started a construction business and Lorena continued a long teaching career in the Oklahoma City Public Schools, eventually becoming one of the first teachers to broadcast various subjects on television in the late 1950's. She was preceded in death by Mr. Padgett in 1972. She later married Kenneth E. Hollingsworth of Hammon, Ok. She was then preceded in death by Mr. Hollingsworth, a brother Joe Wendell Walton, and a sister Dunreath Hines. She is survived by a brother Wayne Edward Walton of Claremore, OK, a son David Padgett and daughter-in-law Jonalyn Padgett of Edmond, OK. Also, three grandchildren, John Kannard of Edmond, OK, Jason Padgett of Oklahoma City, OK and David Padgett Jr. of Houston, TX. Six great-grandchildren, Makenna, Julianna, John D. and Mason Kannard of Edmond, OK and Emma and Elle Padgett of Oklahoma City, OK.
