Loreta (Reta) Marie Kelly, of Lexington OK passed away 1 day before her 89th birthday. She was born April 5, 1934, to Cecil & Pauline Sally Kindrick in rural Pontotoc County (born at home). She was the daughter of Farmers. She grew up in a large family with nine brothers and sisters. After graduating from Quail, TX High School, she followed her sister back to Oklahoma and settled in Shawnee, OK working at the Roundhouse an apparel factory making overalls. While there she met the love of her life, Farley Dale Kelly. Dale was then drafted to serve in the Korean Conflict. After returning home he and Reta married. The two moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to Tinker Air Force Base for work. They raised four incredible children. Reta went back to trade school earning her license in cosmetology then began her own small successful hair salon. After retirement she and Dale fulfilled a dream and moved to their farm in Lexington, OK where she spent her days gardening, farming and cooking. RETA WAS AN EXCELLENT COOK. She is survived by her husband (Dale) of 67 years. Four children, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. We, her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all her caregivers at Bookdale Memory Care Southwest in Oklahoma City. We cannot express enough how their love and compassion carried us all to know she was so well loved and cared for, this meant so much to us. Also, to her hospice nurse whose care in her final days was a reassurance to us all.
