“Though she be but little, she is fierce." Madison "Maddy" Kathleen Watts, made the world shine a little brighter when she was born November 18, 1993 and showed us just how much we'd miss her mesmerizing blue eyes and larger than life personality that filled and warmed the hearts of all those who knew her when she danced home into the arms of God on May 27, 2013. Maddy always preached to love a little harder, forgive a little easier and when in doubt, dance like there's no tomorrow. She was a fierce lover of life who never knew a stranger; she was the most loyal of friends, befriending all persons, no matter their chosen paths and entangled herself in every opportunity that came her way; a child of no fear. Daughter of Mark and Jennifer Watts, Maddy grew up running laps, digging for volleyballs and sprinting towards finish lines at St. Charles Borromeo, until she attended Putnam City North High School and dedicated herself to 4 starting years as one of the Lady Panthers' Volleyball powerhouses. After graduating high school, Maddy decided to attend the University of Central Oklahoma where she thrived on her new small taste of freedom and eventually found her place amongst an extraordinary group of girls in Alpha Gamma Delta. Sister and best friend to Megan, Ashley, brother, Zach, and honorary sister, Jenae Pitts, Maddy held tight to her family as she prepared to engage in the battle against cancer that eventually took her life. She so fought with dignity and grace, entrancing the entire staff at Houston's MD Anderson along with all those she encountered along her mission. Though her time on earth is over, Maddy will forever have changed and touched the lives of so many. Sweet Maddy is survived by her parents, Mark and Jennifer Watts; sisters, Megan and Ashley and little brother, Zachary. Her grandparents, Marilyn Lynch, Bill and Suzanne Parker and Howard and Barbara Watts; aunts and uncles, Jay and Patti Lynch, Robbie and Erin Robbins, George and Lisa Nicholson, Michael and Jenny Watts, Darren Watts, Brad Parker and Brian Parker; and cousins, Brandon, Emily, Molly, Ireland, Jake and McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Lynch. The Rosary will be held at 7pm tonight, May 30, 2013 at Smith & Kernke Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. We love you 225, HooDoo, remember, you are our sunshine, our only sunshine.
