Margaret Ann "Maggie" Barrett

Margaret "Maggie" Ann Barrett born January 23, 1933 to Gladys and Albert Vallion of Hartshorne, OK and was the second of their seven children. Maggie was born into a coal-miner's family and did not have many advantages when she was young. However, Maggie went to school at St. Edwards Mercy Hospital College of Nursing and became a nurse in 1954. She was a RN for many years and retired from Deaconess Hospital. Maggie also spent many years in the Oklahoma City restaurant business as she helped her brother Jim Vallion with the many Val-Gene's restaurants including Herman's Seafood. After that, Maggie was a fixture at Trochta's Flowers for many years. Maggie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jim, Jackie and John and sister Nellie. She is survived by her children, Frank and wife Rose and Richard, grandchildren Roy, Martin, Lauren and Rachel, great grandchildren Alexandria, Maxwell, Oliver and soon to be here baby. She is also survived by her brothers Robert and Clyde and numerous nieces, nephews, etc.Maggie went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2020. Viewing will be Tuesday March 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the family available to greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
