Margaret Byrd Kinser

Margaret was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Charles and Margaret Dome. She graduated from Classen High School in 1938 at 15 years of age. Margaret then attended Central State College and went on to work at the State Highway Department and later obtained her real estate license. She married Arthur D. Kinser on May 29, 1948. She was a consumer advocate and on-air volunteer for KWTV 9's Call for Action in the 1970's. Margaret was a member of Olivet Baptist Church for over 60 years and also attended Church of the Servant as well as Quail Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, David Kinser and wife Pam of OKC; son, Stephen Kinser and wife Mary of OKC; grandchildren, Ryan Kinser and wife Kelly of Iowa City, Grant Kinser and wife Desiree; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Sam of Denver, Kyle Kinser and wife Lisa of Edmond, Lauren Kinser Garder and husband Jason of OKC; brother, Tom Dome and wife Marge of Longview, TX; nieces, Margaret Ann Dome of OKC and Jenny Tramel of Anchorage. Margaret will be remembered mostly for her care for her husband throughout an 11 ½ year debilitating illness as well as for her devotion to her sons, their families and her grandchildren.
