Margaret, 81, was born in Winona, Minnesota, the fifth eldest of 12 siblings, to Roman and Gertrude Kauphusman. She met, fell in love with, and married Max Joseph Cieminski, also of Winona. They soon moved to Norman, where Max attended OU, received a degree in geophysics, and began working for Conoco. They also soon began having children and didn't quit until they had six girls and two boys, in five different states as they were transferred about 20 times, finally ending up in OKC in 1965. Margaret was a petite but strong woman with unlimited energy while raising eight kids and taking care of the house, meals, laundry, and yard. She had an amazing work ethic and expected no less from her kids. Her strongest asset was her dedication to her Catholic faith, and her most important goal in life was to instill this faith in her kids. She made sure her kids attended mass, learned their faith and prayers (saying them together nightly while kneeling around the bed), received all the sacraments, and lived life on the straight and narrow path. She basically sacrificed her life for her children. A very prayerful woman, her daily prayer list was extensive, taking her two to three hours to finish. People knew to ask mom to pray for them or their loved ones because good things would happen; she remembered to pray for everyone by name, even people she didn't know. It would be hard to know someone more generous than Margaret; she gave to anyone who asked of her. The legacies she and Max left to their family are a strong Catholic faith, close family traditions, and a loving refuge called home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max (who just received his best Christmas present - having Marge in his loving arms again up in heaven); Lisa and Molly Cieminski (daughter-in-law and granddaughter); her brothers, Don and Bob; and her sister, Jeanne. She is survived by her children: Mary and Mike Stovall, Laura Howells, Karen and Bill Nashert, Kathy and Daria Butler, Jean and Bill Smith, Max and Cindy Cieminski, Teresa and Paul Harp, Michael and Emily Cieminski; her 28 other grandchildren, her 18 great-grandchildren (plus three on the way); her brothers: Dick, John, Rick, and Jim; and her sisters: Sis, Luanne, Rita, and Barb.On December 26th, visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a rosary service at 7 p.m., at Smith & Kernke, N. May Avenue (see website for details). Father Stephen Bird will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial on December 27th at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord.
