Margaret Marie White, daughter of Malcolm H. and Virginia Anna (Mehalic) White was born 19 June 1922 in Washington DC where she graduated from school and attended George Washington University. She met the love of her life, Norval Robert Divelbiss, at a friend's wedding and married him in 1942. They became parents of one child, Margie Ann. Peggy, as she became known, left this life at Mercy Hospital in OKC on 4 Feb 2012 with her loving daughter at her side. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband in 1979. Peggy worked as apartment manager, developed her talent in the arts and always enjoyed discussing politics. She taught china painting for 45 years and served as president of the Potomac China Painting Teachers Organization. She remained a member of International China Painting Teachers and Oklahoma City Writers. She enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques, and home decorating. A mass will be offered at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church where she was an active member. After her husband's death, Peggy remained in the Washington area but maintained a second home in Buffalo, OK near her daughter. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2003 to be near her daughter, Margie Roetker. Peggy is also survived by a granddaughter, Rebecca Jean "Becky" Roetker of OKC; grandson, John M. Roetker of Wyoming; three great-grandchildren, one sister Geraldine "Geri" Krogmann of Maryland, two nephews, two nieces, and many dear friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday February 9, at 7 p.m. at Smith & Kernke on N. May, followed by a time to visit with the family. Peggy's remains will be placed later in the family mausoleum at Congressional Cemetery in Washington DC.
