Margaret Meeks

Margaret Penn Meeks, or "Toto," as she was affectionately known, died January 2, 2020, at 87. She was born on April 2, 1932, to Dean and Doris Penn in Gotebo, OK, as the 4th of 9 children.In her youth, Margaret had striking red hair - and, she kept her red-head personality all her life. After years as a homemaker, she worked for HUD until her retirement, after which she dedicated her time to her family and community.Margaret is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Christina and Davin Cronin (OKC), Schuyler and Laurette Meeks (Lancaster, PA), and James and Nancie Meeks (Phoenix, AZ); 6 loving grandchildren and their spouses: Chad and Catherine Cronin, Tom and Cari Earley, James and Jessica Earley, Maggie and Anthony Fazio, Jordan Meeks, Schuyler and Jamie Meeks; 9 great grandchildren; as well as her sister, Kay Heath, and brother, Edmund.Toto found humor and cheer in every situation, and forever had a mischievous twinkle in her bright blue eyes. She was a voracious reader and avid sports fan. Toto was devout and loyal about her faith and her family. She often said, "I'm not lucky, I'm blessed." Her sharp wit and infectious laugh are what we will miss the most about Toto.An Evening Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, January 6, 2020 at Smith & Kernke N. May. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
