Marilyn Kay Barnett

Marilyn Kay Barnett, age 75 of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away September 26, 2016. She was born July 28, 1941 to Philo and Flora Lee (Vincent) Mee in Oklahoma City. Marilyn was a devout Catholic and devoted herself and time to her family, her church and the service of others. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and giving nature. Her focus throughout her life was to her faith, her family, friends and others in need. Her greatest joys were her kids and grandkids. Her favorite place to be in the world was the family cabin in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Mee. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty five years; Daniel Barnett; her five beloved children, Kevin Barnett, Kelly Duncan and her husband Scott, Daniel Barnett, Mark Barnett and James Barnett; her fifteen treasured grandchildren, Amy Barnett Potts and her husband Jeff, Casey Barnett and his wife Kalyn, Andrew Barnett, Austin Barnett, Jack Barnett, Hayden Barnett, Melinda Hudson and her husband Peter, Shyanne Hudson, Sheonna Hudson, Darius Hudson, Brittany Duncan, Olivia Duncan, Gabriel Duncan, Ryan Duncan and Cheyann Duncan; as well as two precious great-grandchildren, Ruby and Rose Barnett. Marilyn is also survived by three brothers, Steven Mee, Don Mee and David Mee as well as numerous extended family and friends and her beloved pet cat, "PeeWee". Those wishing to pay their respects may do so during visitation at the funeral home Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
