Marissa Angelita Dunagan passed away on her 19th birthday. She was born April 18, 1998, in Tucson, AZ. She was a "Military Brat" and lived in many places before to coming to Edmond, OK, four years ago. She attended Edmond Santa Fe High School for three years where she sang in the choir, played in the orchestra and served the athletic department as a trainer. She then moved to Deer Creek High School for her senior year and missed the opportunity to work as an athletic trainer but was recruited as the manager for the girls' soccer team. Her amazing skills and dynamic personality earned her the first student to ever receive the MVP award by the soccer team and coaches. Marissa was a free spirit, wild child who loved to eat chips. She will be fondly remembered by her parents, Angie and Rusty of Edmond and Daniel and Jessica of Texas; three sisters, Annalisa, Rosalie and Kyra; two brothers, Daniel and Roque; grandparents, Fred and Lupe Garza, Glenda and Randy Church, Richard and Cathy Dunagan, Arthur Escamilla, and Julia Sanchez; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at St. Monica Catholic Church, Edmond. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie.
