Maritina Wilson

Maritina Kelly Wilson left her earth weary body on April 17, 2016, and is reunited with cherished husband Harry and other loved ones who have gone before. Maritina was born January 29, 1923, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to D.B. And Florence Freeman Kelly. She studied Home Economics at OSU. She was an outstanding cook, seamstress, and an accomplished painter. She created most of the clothing for her three daughters. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family on any occasion. Maritina was a member of First Baptist Church in OKC for sixty years, where she served as a Children's SS director, sang in the choir and for a time served as secretary for the church's newcomer outreach. She is survived by five children: Erlann Clark, Marileigh Dougherty (Brian), Junel Morris (Blane), Richard Wilson (Rena), and Jeff Wilson; nephews Wayne Brink (Marilyn) and Calvin Brink. Maritina and Harry enjoyed many years of retirement traveling and enjoying time with their 12 grandchildren, and hearing about the 11 great-grandchildren. Maritina will be remembered for her many kindnesses and her generous gifts of her time. Memorial Service will be a celebration of her life, Thursday April 21, 10:30 am at First Baptist Church in OKC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno, Good Shepherd Ministry of First Baptist Church, or Care for OKC ministry of FBC.
