Martha was born in Pratt, Kansas to Miriam and Jim Burch. She lived in Emporia, Kansas through childhood and college where lifelong friendships were formed. Martha met John K. Williams when they were both students at Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. They wed in 1952 and were married for 66 years. They exemplified to their family a relationship built on love, faith and perseverance. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Wilson. She also had a half-sister and half-brother, Beulah and Donald Burch, who died before she was born. Martha is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Janol Hudson; son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Leslie Williams; grandchildren, Joe Hudson, Luke Hudson, Graham Hudson, Jack Williams and Whitney Mae Williams; as well as two great-granddaughters, Pearl and Harlow Hudson. The family has been thankful to honor her wishes of staying at home with the help of Integris Hospice. Martha was active in the Mobile Meals program at Westminster Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Urban Mission. She asked that these programs be supported in lieu of flowers. A celebration of life to honor Martha will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 20, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City.
