Martha Ruth Davis

Martha Ruth Davis passed away on October 27, 2021, at her home peacefully with her family present. She was born on May 16, 1932, to Audrey and Fred Davis of Gunter, Texas. Martha was educated in the Gunter School District, graduated and entered North Texas State for two years before she met and married William R. Davis. They lived together for 58 years, in what one would call a successful marriage. Martha is survived by her husband, William R. Davis of Oklahoma City, and a host of nieces and nephews.With her bright red hair styled perfectly, Martha was very fun to be around. She was an excellent dancer. A member of Revelers Club, she attended most every dance. She travelled with her husband throughout the world and took many side trips to visit out-of-the-way locations. Martha loved church and was steadfast in her religious beliefs. Martha made her husband and her dog, Molly, very happy – as well as all that knew her. The funeral service will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 2:00PM.
