Martin K. Blickenstaff passed away on July 19, 2019 in Oklahoma City with his family at his side. He was born on March 01, 1957 in France to Robert and Jacquelyn Blickenstaff. He graduated at Los Lunas High School in New Mexico, then moved to Oklahoma to pursue a career in the oil industry. He married Tammy Cisper in 1980 and to that union had three sons. Martin will be remembered for his quiet and gentle spirit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, barbecues, and reading and watching educational television related to nature and wildlife. Martin enjoyed falconry in his teen years while living on a farm with his family in New Mexico.Preceding his death were father Robert Blickenstaff, mother Jacquelyn Blickenstaff and brother-in-law Jay Cisper.Survivors include Tammy, wife of thirty eight years, three sons-Justin and his wife Christy, Robert, and Nathan, all of Bethany, OK. Martin was one of six siblings-brother Joel Blickenstaff and his wife Loretta of Scottsdale, AZ-sister Donna and her husband Roy Stern of Walla Walla, WA-brother Jon Blickenstaff and his wife Frances of Oklahoma City-sister Holly and her husband Will Steinberg of Albuquerque, NM -brother Glen Blickenstaff and his wife Suzanne of Saint Petersburg, FL. Additional survivors include father and mother in-law Albert and Linda Cisper of Oklahoma City, sister-in-law Terri Cisper of Oklahoma City, sister-in-law Debbie Cisper of Oklahoma City.Martin also left behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews.The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the organization that is seeking a cure for the Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy disease that Martin dealt with most of his adult life. Donations can be made on the website: myotonic.org.The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1901 NW 18th St. in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, July 24th at 1pm.
