Mary Fors, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William J. Fors; her daughters, Jennifer Stephenson and Ashley Parker; her grandchildren, Quinn Stephenson and Caylin Conley; and her sister, Linda Patterson.
Mary was born June 8, 1939 in Birmingham, Michigan. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan where she was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. At the University of Michigan, she was the assistant to the Dean of Women and after graduating, she travelled the United States as a consultant for Kappa Kappa Gamma.
She met Bill in 1962 and they married in 1966. In 1972, an opportunity to work with Plaza Medical Group brought the Fors to Oklahoma. As a housewife, business owner, and collector of art, sports memorabilia, all things Christmas and anything that might make a buck, Mary was very involved in OKC. She touched many, many lives with her vivacious smile and generosity.
The family would like to thank all the friends and relatives who have supported them through this difficult time. Particular gratitude is extended to the Towell's, O'Keefe's, Brous', Fleckinger's, Hunt's and BryAnne Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the Alzheimer's Association of Oklahoma or The Infant Crisis Center.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 15th at 11 a.m.
