Connie Wall was born October 8, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa to Clifford "Red" Wall and Dorothy Durkin Wall. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1951. Connie started the 6th grade at John Carroll Catholic School. She graduated from Central Catholic High School (now Bishop McGuinness) in 1958 . She was a dear and true friend to many. She loved animals, and especially her favorite dogs Sugar and Spice and cats Blackie and Rusty. She supported various animal charities for the rescue and care of abandoned animals. In 1967 Connie moved to Denver with her husband and son Mike. In 1968 Connie's second son Tim was born and two years later the family relocated to Midland, TX. In 1972 the family moved back to Oklahoma City where they remained. Connie worked for a time in the oil industry, including Kerr-McGee. Connie also worked for the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and retired from the State Health Department. Connie loved retirement and spent her days with her pets, gardening and her many friends. She enjoyed getting together with "old classmates" for lunch, dinner and occasional long weekend trips. Her favorite long trip was with her sister Sharon to visit her son Mike and his wife, who lived in Munich Germany at the time.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her sister Sharon and husband Don, niece Kathleen, nephews Danny and Brian McCann, sons Michael and wife Marla, currently residing in South Korea, and Timothy here in Oklahoma City. Connie was a loving and compassionate person and was a dear true friend to the many who rallied around her in her illness. The family wishes to thank all of her friends especially Margaret Keaton who was always there when we needed her. And we also want to thank Kathy O'Meara Marks, who coordinated an amazing group of volunteers from friends and former classmates, who regularly donated their time to be with Connie during the last three months of her life.
