Katie DeBois

Mary Catherine DeBois (nee Watkins), 93, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024.  “Katie” was raised in Coalgate, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University where she met her future husband James A. DeBois.  His career took them to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; St. Louis, Missouri; Manhasset, New York; Alamo, California; Short Hills, New Jersey and Bay Head, New Jersey before retiring in Palm City, Florida for the past 30 years.  When Katie was not volunteering at one of the many charitable organizations she supported, she was a competitive bridge player.   Throughout her life, above all her priority was always her family.

Katie is survived by her 3 children James A. DeBois II (Gale), Cecile DeBois O’Hara (Thomas) and Annette M. DeBois; her 4 grandchildren Marcie Binford (Matthew), Thomas O’Hara, James O’Hara and Catherine O’Hara; and her 2 great-grandchildren Audrey and Jacqueline Binford.  Katie was predeceased by her husband James A. DeBois, her brother Charles A. Watkins and her grandson Sean Phillip DeBois.
