Mary Ella Hollander

Mary Ella Hollander (Koop), 82, passed away peacefully November 12, 2017, after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born February 22, 1935 in Okeene, Oklahoma. Mary married Robert Hollander in 1955 and they were married for 54 years. Robert retired from the Oklahoma City Fire Department and the State Firefighters Pension System. After his death, Mary remained active in the Oklahoma City Retired Firefighters Association, where she recently received an Outstanding Support Award. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Clara Koop of Okeene; husband Robert Hollander; brother Lawrence Koop; sister Dorothy McLarty. She is survived by daughters Katie Hollander of Edmond and Susan Atherton and husband Brian of Edmond; grandchildren Aubrey Smith and husband Theron, Brooke and Luke; brother Norbert Koop; sister Lucille Cochran. The family would like to thank Dr. Craig Reitz at the Mercy Oncology Clinic and the sweet nurses of the Oncology Infusion Clinic.
