Born to Albert E. Siddens and Mary M. SiddensMary Jean graduated from Catholic High and married James A. Abernathy on 03/29/1952. Together they had two children- DiAnn Abernathy Mackey and James "Jim" Abernathy, both of Oklahoma City.She was an executive assistant for 48 years. Being the caring and generous person that she was to us all, she became a caregiver to young and old alike. She was passionate about giving of herself to help others.Years later, she reconnected with an old high school friend, Walter "Jack" Nashert. They shared a long and happily married life together until Jack passed away in 2017.Preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Siddens, stepfather Frank Manley, beloved sister Joann Oberst and Kathy Hamilton, brother Frank Manley, her husband Jack Nashert, and Jack's daughter Dayna Dunnigan.She is survived by daughter DiAnn and her children Brian, Amy and Ashley; son Jim and his wife Susan and their children Kristina and Meagan; Jacks children Wally Nashert and wife Julie and their children, Chele Gatewood and her husband Gary and their children, Brant Nashert and his son, Dayna's husband and their daughter, sister Patty and her children and Husband Al, sister Mary Ellen and husband Jimmie and their children, her darling baby sister Eloise and husband Kermit, brother Richard "Dickie" and wife Dottie and their children, her sister Joann's children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.We want to give special thanks to Diane Timmerman and her "Heaven House", and especially mom's primary caregivers Dee and Rhonda. We also give thanks to another loving caregiver Orka who took care of mom while she was living at home before she moved to Heaven House. We also want to thank Humanity Hospice for their loving and caring efforts while taking care of mom.Mom was an angel to us all and loved beyond imagination. We know she is watching over us. We will miss mom dearly and we give thanks to God Almighty for the time we had with her.A Memorial Service will be held on June 11, 2021, at 2pm, Smith & Kernke, 14624 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73134.
