Mary Lou Moorman Stark

Mary Lou Moorman Stark went to be with her Lord on April 14, 2011, just before her 91st birthday. She will celebrate her birthday with beloved family members and Jesus. Mother lived God's greatest commandment to love others. She loved and was loved by all who knew her. She was born on April 24, 1920 to Sallie McCain Fugate and Howard Fugate in Binger, OK. Preceding her in death were her wonderful parents, loving husbands James C. Moorman and Walter J. Stark, son Stephen L. Stark, daughter Debbie Moorman White, brother Sonny Fugate, and sister Frances McDonald. Mary Lou graduated from Binger High School and attended Lindenwood College and Oklahoma University where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She leaves behind a large and loving family which meant the world to her, including son Walter J. Stark, Jr. (Polly) of Baltimore, daughter Penny Stark Replogle (Dee), daughter Susan Moorman, son Jeff Moorman (Linda), daughter-in-law Andria Stark Heafy (Paul), and son-in-law Robert White of Oklahoma City. She also leaves 15 grandchildren: Heather Stark Anderson (Dave), Jay Stark (Kristin), Melissa Stark Lilley (Mike), Billy Allen, Chris Allen (Stacey), Cody Replogle, Tommy Showalter (Heather), Ashley Stark, Emily Stark, Stephen Stark, Matt Moorman, Sarah Moorman James (Chris), Rachel Moorman Rieg (William), Kate White, Chris White; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was always active in her church and community and loved helping others. She enjoyed entertaining and china painting. She was a member of the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, Sequoyah Outing Club, and the Friday Night Group. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Dean McGee Eye Institute for the Walter J Stark Sr. Lectureship Series, or the Stephen Stark Memorial Foundation at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. We would also like to express our gratitude to Mom's wonderful caregivers, Pam McDermott, Espie Fields, and Norma Jackson.
