Mary Louise Kelley

Mary Louise Kelley departed from this life on November 11, 2014 after a battle with cancer. She was a lovely spirit who enjoyed her family and friends. She met her cancer head on with dignity and grace. She was born on December 3, 1931 to Leonard R and Mary Beatrice Abel. She attended Corpus Christi grade school and graduated from St Joseph's High School in Oklahoma City. She went on to earn a diploma from St. Anthony's School of Nursing. While pursuing her career in orthopedics, she met the love of her life, Daniel Kelley and the two were married on April 7, 1956. Together they raised seven children; Mary's greatest accomplishment. Mary was a creative, brilliant mind. She was an accomplished seamstress, making everything from Barbie clothes to wedding gowns. She loved summers at the Sportsman's Club, floating in the ocean, the first snowfall and all things Christmas. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. The Ave Maria was her favorite. She was very well read and an avid disciple of Christ. She loved counting money at church, being in the Altar Society, reading at mass and always being a humble servant to our Lord. She lived simply, loved deeply and taught all of us that the most important things in life were faith and family. Mary is reunited with her husband, Dan; her twins, Pat & Mike and her parents. She is survived by her brother Gerald Abel, her children, Susan Miles, Dr. Sean (Carolyn) Kelley, Kathy (Troy) Bower, Tim (Lori) Kelley, Margie, (Tom) Avant, Jeanne (Allan) McMurrain and Patsy (Dr. Tim) Hepner as well as 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Ross and Dr. Abby Bova, Crossroads Hospice, Catherine Belden, her most treasured & closest lifelong friend and numerous family and friends who provided tender care and support through Mary's illness. The angels have gathered to serenade her home to be with her eternal father. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Eugene's new church building fund.
