Mary Louise Heppler Khoury passed away on June 18th. Born at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City to Clara and Joe Heppler, she was one of six children. She learned early on the joy of serving others through her faith. She grew up in Our Lady's parish and school where most of her ministries were rooted. Mary Louise met her beloved husband, Paul, while serving spaghetti at a church dinner. They married in 1957. Managing a home with five children and her husband's real estate business, she always made time and room at her kitchen table for family, neighbors, tenants and strangers. In her later years she very much enjoyed being "Mimi" to her nine grandchildren, taking some trips, hosting big family meals on Sunday, as well as continuing to help others and visiting the homebound. Her children will be forever grateful for her loving example. Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Paul, her brothers Tommy Braun and Bobby Braun, and her sister Lucille Watkins. She is survived by her sisters Jodie Layton and Rosie Runyon, her sister in law, Frances Khoury, her children: Louise Khoury Forest (Rick), Mary Ann Khoury Whitsett (Jeff), Karen Khoury Beard (Gordon), Paula Khoury Schick (Gary), and Michael Khoury, and her grandchildren: Rachael Khoury, Cory Whitsett, Sissy Whitsett, Claire Whitsett, Catherine Whitsett, Aaron Schick, Olivia Schick, Lauren Forest, and Christina Forest Henson (Will). We will be forever grateful to everyone who extended love and care to our mother these past months and to the doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Anthony Hospital for their loving, gentle care. Memorial gifts may be made to The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3214 North Lake, OKC; or Sister BJ's Pantry for the Homeless (srbjpantry.com). Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
