As a child, she loved playing jacks and hopscotch. Later in life, she developed a love of dancing and especially enjoyed dancing to the music of Kipcuts (?) at Luby’s Cafeteria. In addition to dancing, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge and painting with watercolors. She was a gifted writer and wrote hundreds of poems; a book was published with a few of her favorite poems. Mary K. became a realtor and worked for Lloyd Merrill and J.W. Coyle. She was a faithful follower of her Lord Jesus. She attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and later transferred to Chapel Hill United Methodist.
