Mary Sue Talbot, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away early Friday, August 10, 2012, after a long battle with Lupus. Mary was born in Burderop Park, Swindon, England, on June 25, 1955, to Joseph and Mary Jane Talbot. Mary was a daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and a best friend. Although Mary never had children of her own, she helped raise, and was a second mother to, over 25 children spanning almost 3 generations. She was also a caregiver, educator, friend, mentor, chauffer, and support system for everyone she cared about. Her passions included child care, winemaking, and decorative cake making. Over the years, she answered to many different names including, Su Su, Talbot, Oo Oo, and anything else a child came up with! Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Talbot, and her sister, Rita Marie Talbot. Mary is survived by her siblings, brother Pat and his wife Sheila, brother Joe and his wife Charlo, brother Vince, brother Tim and his wife Nancy, and her sister Kathy. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Shannon and Corey Edwards, Danny and Marilee Talbot, Jenny and Buddy Benson, Tina and John Patrick, Joe Talbot III, Kathy and Brad Rukes, Sarah and Greg Meno, Rachel and Matt Melton, Katie Talbot and Trey Davis, Alex Talbot, Angela Talbot, Kari Baldwin and Chris Hesler, Johnny Baldwin, and Kurt Baldwin. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews Jordan, Jacob, and Abigail Edwards, Patrick, Ethan, and Hailey Talbot, Rachel and Connor Benson, Kathleen, Christopher, Sean and Elizabeth Patrick, Jackson and Ethan Rukes, Stella Meno, Ryan and Grayson Melton, and Kane and Laney Hesler. There will a viewing on Monday, August 13, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Oklahoma Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America at www.lupus.org. Su Su: May you find peace in Heaven with the choir of Angels that have gone before you. May you forever be a guardian Angel to all of those to whom you have loved and been a second mother. May you be pain and worry free as you dance with the Lord and his Angels.
