Mason Gray Coon

Mason Gray Coon received his angel wings on April 21, 2017. He and his twin brother Jett were born March 15, 2017, in Oklahoma City to Jana and Sydney Coon. Mason came into the world "tiny but mighty" at 29 weeks and six days. He put up the biggest fight he could for 38 days, but God had other plans for him. Mason will forever be Jett's and Tristan's Guardian Angel. Our hearts are broken but we will never forget his blond hair and soft coos. Our mellow Mase face will forever be in our hearts. Mason was preceded in death by his great grandfather Johnnie Elmo Newland; great grandfathers Zebe D. Henderson, Lester A. Klaus; and great grandmother Betty A. Berblinger. He is survived by his mothers, Jana and Sydney Coon; brothers Tristan Coon, and Jett Coon; grandparents Jeff and Courtney Van Hoose; Karen McDonald and Bart Coon; aunt Jane Van Hoose; uncles Griffin Van Hoose, Grant Van Hoose, Ty and wife Eva Coon; Christopher Coon; great grandparents Jim and Marilyn Van Hoose; Sedonia and Ray Vickery; Janet Klaus; one great-great grandmother Pauline Mullins; and a host of numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. The family would like to thank the OU Children's Hospital especially all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the NICU unit.
