Maudene Lasiter Adwell, 84 year old resident of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Born on September 16, 1928 in Woodville, Oklahoma, to George Lasiter and Lillie Bell Rogers, she graduated from Kingston High School in 1946. She married Audie Adwell and lived in Oklahoma City for 65 years before moving to Kingston in 2004.
Maudene worked for S.W. Bell Telephone Co. For more than 30 years, and leaves numerous telephone company friends, many of whom visited Maudene with some regularity.
She is survived by her sister Betty Jo Burnell, nephews Robert Burnell, Jimmy Burnell, and wife Laura, and Mark Lasiter. Great nephews Joe Burnell, Bradley Burnell and wife Valerie, great niece Lyndsie Floyd and husband Scott, great grand nephews Chandler Burnell and Barrett Floyd, and a great great niece Arabella Burnell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Audie Adwell, her parents George and Lillie
Lasiter, brothers Honey, Garland, George, and Doc Lasiter.
