Maxine Triska, 85, passed away at Mercy Hospital Tuesday evening, October 13, 2015. Maxine was the beloved wife for 64 years of Anthony (Frank) Triska. Maxine was born in Oketo, Kansas, and married Frank on May 1, 1951, in Hanover, Kansas. After residing in Topeka, Kansas, they made their home in Oklahoma City in 1964 where they raised their four children. Maxine was the secretary at Christ the King Catholic School for many years. Later in her career she served as an administrative assistant until her retirement. After her retirement Maxine was involved in several parish ministries such as being a Parish Star for children and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Garth and Thelma Howes, her sister Marilyn Doebele, brother in-law Sylvester Doebele, and son in-law Danny Perrone. She is survived by her husband Frank, her children, sons Mark Triska and Bruce Triska, daughter in-law Mandy Triska, daughter Renae Oglesby and son in-law Richard Oglesby, and daughter Lisa Perrone. Her family and friends were always her first thought and Maxine was always available. She found joy attending all special occasions in life. The most important occasions for Maxine were nurturing and caring for her grandchildren Tallie, Addison, Tate, Hayla, Emma, and Audrey. Maxine recently welcomed her great grandson Sutton. She was ever present to listen, love and be their "Nanny".
A Wake Service will be held Monday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. before the service. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Oklahoma City.
