Michael H. Brady, beloved husband, father, friend and attorney, passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born, raised and educated in Miami, FL. He attended OCU School of Law and graduated in 1974 and began his law career that spanned 38 years. Michael's practice never advertised and every case he had was based on a referral either from a client, attorney or friend. Representing his client's interest was one of his greatest joys and accomplishments in life. His tireless dedication to his clients and his practice was evident by all who knew him. Michael was a member of the Gaillardia Country Club and his passion for golf and playing on weekends with his golf buddies, "The Dancing Bear" (Scott Rayburn), "Burr Burr" (Byron Millsap), "Chipster" (Chip Morgan), "Mr. 90 Percent" (Wes Milburn), "Deep Pockets" (Dr. Jim White), "Sneaky Long" (Mark Harris), "Frankie Frankenfield" (Jim Frankenfield) and so many others brought Michael tremendous joy. If you had the privilege to play golf with Michael then you were sure to have had a great time. May each of you continue to play and forever avoid the "Brady Bunker" at Gaillardia. Besides being a great golfer, Michael was an avid surfer. Despite living in Oklahoma, Michael managed to travel to every wave he could find from Hawaii to the Caribbean. To Michael, Oklahoma's only drawback was not having an ocean. To state that Michael was an Irishman is an understatement and being Irish was evident as Michael's love, passion for life and happy spirit was known by everyone he encountered. Michael leaves behind his treasured, loving wife and best friend, Lynn Brady; his three children, Sean-Michael, his pride and joy; his two beautiful girls that came into his life 10 years ago, Erica Mikawa of Birmingham, AL and his little Jenna Mae or "Roosky" as Michael affectionately nicknamed her when she was seven years old; his loving in-laws, Jim and Kay Carroll of OKC; his brother and sister in-law, Chuck and Christine Carroll of Sanger, TX; his sister, Kelley Hubbard and her family of Wellington, FL. The family would like to give special thanks to Michael's doctors who were also Michael and Lynn's dearest and closest friends and carried them through each day during their long journey of bravely battling stage four cancer; Dr. Jeffrey and Mrs. Dana Hirsh, Dr. David and Mrs. Lisa Karasak, Dr. Tim Eldridge, Dr. Bassam Hadi, Dr. Kersey Winfree, Dr. Ralph Ganick. The family would also like to thank Robin Wilson, Guy Jackson, and Jack Dawson for their constant support and love for Michael and Lynn. Special thanks to the nursing staff on 5 SE at Saint Anthony Hospital who made Michael's final days the very best they could be. Each nurse who cared for Michael grew to adore him and his family and friendships formed during this time will last a lifetime for Michael's family. Michael will be missed by many. It is said that death leaves a heartache that can't be healed, but we can truthfully say that Michael left all of us memories that no one can ever steal. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Burial will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
