Michael Francis Kennedy, IV passed away at the age of 71 on March 20, 2019, with his son, Mike by his side comforting him as he passed away peacefully after battling lung cancer. Mike joins his wife of 44 years of marriage, Dorothy, where they are giggling like teenagers, listening to 60's music and enjoying each other in a pain free after existence. Born December 6, 1947 to Michael and Phyllis Kennedy in Martinsburg, West Virginia Michael and his parents relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma when he was a toddler. He became a big brother to seven sisters and two brothers. Michael attend Villa Teresa Elementary School until 8th grade. During his high school career, he attends Bishop McGuiness High School until his junior year. Mike enrolled in the seminary program at St. Francis De Sales for his junior year. Following his 18th birthday Mike enlist in the United States Marine Corp where he served as a Marine Air Wing in Vietnam. During his time in Vietnam Mike traveled to many locations such as Danang and Hanoi. He enjoyed his time abroad soaking in local culture and learning from the locals. He loved sharing his colorful stories of Vietnam with others. Upon returning home from Vietnam, Mike met Dorothy Ann McConville. After dating the couple married on August 3, 1973. Spending two years of marital bliss the happy couple welcomed their first child a daughter, Jennifer into the world and soon after followed a son Michael F. Kennedy, V and then a daughter Deborah. Michael is preceeded in death by his wife Dorothy Kennedy, his parents, Phyllis and Michael, two sisters Cecilia and Mary. He is survived by his children Jennifer her husband Noel and his granddaughter Elaina, grandson Kalvin and Jonah. His son Michael V and grandsons Isaiah and Michael VI; his daughter Deborah and her husband Scott and granddaughter Tapanga and grandson Scott Malvin.
